ABOUT HELL FIRE

Hell Fire was started by Lead Guitarist Tony Campos in San Francisco, Ca. in may of 2010.  Tony is a pro BMX rider who grew up in the city playing in numerous punk and metal bands through the years. Before focusing on getting a group together that shared the same interests and enthusiasm in music as he did.  After a couple of months Tony found a craigslist posting for a bass player named Herman Bandala. A hardcore metal and overall music fanatic, Herman moved from Tijuana, Mexico to San Francisco solely for the music scene with no more than $100 to his name.  The first time jamming together Tony & Herman instantly hit it off playing covers from Iron Maiden, Diamond Head, Metallica ect.

After months of jamming together creating lots of material written full of twin guitar leads, blistering speed and killer energy in the band, it was time to find a singer. Not wanting to settle the band chose not to get a singer unless he could really hit the notes of all the bands they grew up loving and more. Out of the blue  former drummer Arturo Rios thought of his cousin Alex Orozoco, who had experience singing meriachi and spanish alternative rock so he thought, “what the heck, lets see what he says”. Initially Alex thought he was going to be singing Spanish Pop, but to his surprise once he heard their first song at rehearsal he was floored with goose bumps running up his arms and knew he’d been handed the opportunity of a lifetime to express him self. Jon Mendle came into the band about 2 years after Hell Fire formed. Tony actually met Jon through craigslists ads back in high school and they played a couple times. Jon is an accomplished classical guitarist from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music playing all over the USA including performances at Carnegie Hall. Tony kept running into Jon at shows through the years and when Hell Fire let go of previous guitarist Chris Aragon, Tony gave Jon a call asking if he knew of anyone and Jon asked to try out. Jon’s love for metal and the style we played bonded with the band instantly and now Hell Fire is sounding better than ever! In the fall of 2012 drummer Arturo Rios had to step away from the band. They asked north bay drummer Mikey Carli if he would like to try out for the band. Mikey’s drumming style brought up by bands like Iron Maiden, Death, Metallica, King Diamond etc. instantly connected with the band and brought the energy to a new level. After jamming with the band for a couple weeks Mikey played his first couple shows with Hell Fire and went to work laying drum track down for our debut album! Were in the process of recording our debut album right now and hope to release it by the end of 2013!
